Studio Policies

24-hour Cancellation:

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy for all scheduled appointments. If you fail to show up for your appointment, or if you cancel with less than a 24-hour notice, you will be charged the full price of your session to cover the cost of your instructor’s time. However, in the event that you must cancel your appointment and cannot give us a 24-hour notice, you may reschedule your appointment with the same instructor during the same week for no additional charge (subject to the availability of the instructor).

Making Appointments:

Private, Semi-private, and Trio sessions are available Monday through Saturday by appointment. Pre-payment is required for all sessions in order to reserve an appointment in the studio schedule. Sessions are scheduled by contacting the studio by phone or email.

Class Cards:

Studio sessions can be purchased as single appointments or as discounted class cards. These cards are available in 5 or 10 session amounts and can be purchased for private, semi-private, and trio sessions. Class card purchase is necessary if you wish to book a standing appointment.

Standing Appointments:

Standing appointments reserve a slot in our studio schedule just for you (or your group) at an agreed upon day and time each week for the duration of the class card you have purchased. If you wish to resume a standing appointment at the completion of a class card you may do so by purchasing a new class card. If you frequently miss appointments, we reserve the right to schedule someone else in that time slot.

Expiration:

All 5 and 10 class cards expire 6 months from their date of purchase and are NON-REFUNDABLE and non-transferable.  Gift certificates are good for one year from the date of purchase.  Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash.  Introductory packages expire 3 months from the date of purchase and are NON-REFUNDABLE and nontransferable.

Independent Sessions:

Prior instructor approval is required for independent equipment sessions. These sessions are scheduled through the studio appointment desk and are exempt from the studio cancellation policy.  Individuals are expected to have knowledge of equipment setup and exercise techniques and must have had previous instruction at Chicago Northshore Kinetics.

Group Classes:

We strongly encourage you to call ahead if you are interested in attending a group class, as we have a limit to the number of people we can accommodate.

Waiver Form:

New clients must sign the studio’s liability waiver and release form prior to their first session. Please arrive 5 minutes early to complete the form.

Personal Belongings:

Chicago Northshore Kinetics is not responsible for lost or stolen items.  We have cubbyholes for clients to leave their personal belongings during the duration of their session; however, please leave valuables at home.  Personal items left behind for more than 30 days will be donated to a local shelter.

Payments accepted:

Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, checks and cash.  We do not accept American Express.  All sessions must be pre-paid.  Returned checks are subject to a $40 fee.
