The Franklin Method™, developed by Eric Franklin, is a training method that teaches us how the body is designed to move and increase the longevity of our joints. We will use imagery and movement in this workshop to learn about the intricacies of the pelvis and how it can release and support lower back health and release hip tension. We explore anatomical embodiment, where we raise our sensorial awareness in our bodies using tools of dynamic imagery (DNI™). Elements of this workshop can be integrated into your movement practice as well as through daily activity. This experiential workshop is appropriate for anyone interested in movement–clients and practitioners alike!
In this workshop you will:
- Experience a new awareness of whole body alignment and balance
- Discover the pelvic bones and joints and their relationship to how we move
- Explore the hip joint and gain access to strength and flexibility in our pelvic floor
- Recognize the dynamic ability of the sacrum for a healthy spine and pelvis
- Learn ball, band, and imagery exercises to help condition the pelvic joints and muscles
