iRest® is a contemporary, evidenced based form of mindful meditation. This contemplative practice promotes experiences of relaxation, well-being, self-inquiry and heightened awareness. It has been used in a variety of settings and has been shown to be effective in helping reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and chronic pain, PTSD and sleep disturbances.
Each class will explore different aspects of the 10 step iRest® protocol and its relationship to the cycles in women’s lives. Classes will also include breath work, time for discussion, and a 30-40 minute meditation. Each student will be given access to an iRest® recording for their home practice and written material.
The meditation practice takes place in a comfortable seated or lying down position.
